Ana María Henríquez exhibits “Raíces Aura del Carnaval”

The exhibition "Raíces Aura del Carnaval (Aura Roots of the Carnival)" by the artist Ana María Henríquez was opened at the Museum of the Dominican Family, sponsored by the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.

Raíces Aura de Carnaval is the second solo exhibition by the artist. It features 18 works of different formats and techniques influenced by Fauvism, Cubism and Expressionism, while observing the contemporary.

Clinton López, president of the Dominican Association of Fine Artists and Professor Nino Feliz, UASD, spoke at the ceremony and agreed in value of the work of this young professional.

The exhibition features 18 works in various formats and acrylic and mixed techniques. It will be open to the public until April 11 this year.

Art critic Gilda Matos, described Henriquez's work as having primitive traces, "translates the essential codes of that manifestations and its elements, imprints in them her feminine soul... Her characters are collective, no faces, she only cares about the representational"
