Dominican students excel at MUNENP 2014

The Dominican delegation of middle-level students who participated in the International Model United Nations Nations High School (ENP)of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (MUNENP 2014) won ten awards among more than 500 participants.


The contestants, aged between 14 and 18 years old, participated in the international event, a cultural and academic program that included sessions of debates, talks, lectures, visits to the pyramids of Teotihuacán, Xochimilco and Zócalo, among other important places, from 16 to 21 March.

The students recognized are:
  • Pamela Ureña Domínguez, student at Politécnico Femenino de Santiago
  • Nathali Nicole Santiago Nín, student at Politécnico Virgen de la Altagracia
  • José Enrique Torres Hernández, student at Instituto Politécnico la Esperanza
  • Branli Joaquín Fernández Rafael, student at Instituto Politécnico Colombina Canario
  • Alonso Gabriel Ledesma Collado, student at Liceo Emma Balaguer
  • David Dicén Verigüete, student at Liceo Técnico Juan González
  • Pedro Domingo Mateo Morrobel, student at Politécnico Gregorio Urbano Gilbert
  • Soel Rainville Mieses, student at Liceo Sabaneta de Yásica
  • Julio Miguel Matos Castillo and Edwin Hernández Monegro, students at Politécnico Belisario Peguero Guerrero
