La Fatiga Invocada by José Rafael Lantigua, is a collection of poems by the former Minister of Culture of the Dominican Republic.

His new contribution to national culture contains forty poems, a set of expressive alternatives assembled into visual and aesthetic frameworks to boost the poetic word from varying angles.

Lantigua uses several themes in his new book; such as memory, personal growth, love and dreams.

It is his fourth book of poetry, but the writer decided on a limited edition for distribution among his friends, readers of poetry and individuals.

Jose Rafael Lantigua is a native of Moca, the capital of the Espaillat province in the Dominican Republic.

He completed his primary and intermediate studies at the Juan Crisóstomo Estrella School and received his BA in Secondary Grammar school Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, both in his native city.

He moved to Santo Domingo in 1972, obtaining the degree of Science in Education, specializing in Literature, at the National University Pedro Henríquez Ureña.

Lantigua was Minister of Culture of the Dominican Republic for eight years, from 2004 to 2012.
