León Bosch


León Bosch García was born in Santo Dominigo on December 26, 1936. He is the son of former president of the Dominican Repubic Juan Bosch.

He studied in Cuba and Spain, and at 18 years of age he moved to Madrid where he studied the Baroque masters in the Prado, and frequented museums throughout Europe. Bosch studied classical techniques such as Goya and Velázquez, which are vividly seen in his portraits and still lifes today.

His works are in private collections around the world, and in the Dominican Republic.

Leon Bosch is Minister Counselor of the Dominican Embassy in Rome.
