Julio Tejada was born in Moca, the capital of Espaillat province, in the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic.

In his Transparency Games series, Julio Tejada masterfully uses shadows and reflections to create crystalline flows over rugged stone faces neatly placed in familiar environments of greens, blues and browns. Colored pencils, paper boats and nature scenes takes us back to our childhood in the campos of the Dominican Republic.
