Felix Dicló (San Juan de la Maguana)

Felix A. Dicló, was born in San Juan de la Maguana, capital municipality of the San Juan province, founded in 1503, in the western region of the Dominican Republic.

A graduate of the National School of Fine Arts in Santo Domingo, Felix also studied drawing techniques and colors at the Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU), and painting at the Institute of Technology and System (TESIS). In 1994, he emigrated to the United States where he now resides in Providence, Rhode Island.

"Dicló's work explores a world of colors, light, artistic techniques, and an aesthetic dialogue that reflects the human conditions."

Felix Diclo's artist affiliations include the Hispanic-American Visual Artists Project (HAVAP) in Atlanta, Georgia, the Dominican College of Artists (CODAP), the International Association of Artists (A.I.A.P) in France, and The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
