Ángel Haché (1943 - 2016)
Ángel Haché (1943 - 2016), was born in San Pedro de Macoris (established in 1822), a province in the south-eastern region of the Dominican Republic.
A painter and actor, Haché began his artistic training at the School of Architecture of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, where he studied for only three years, receiving classes from Domingo Liz -- after which he attends the Hernández Ortega Academy. At the end of 1967 he travels to Spain, enrolling in the academy of San Fernando, in Madrid. While in Spain, Haché also dives into acting lessons.
The artist and historian, Danilo de los Santos, referred to Haché's career as "one of those exceptional cases, in which two difficult branches of art converge without limitations: theater and painting.
