Day 31 - Slice

Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month.

Franz Caba, born 1991, in the city of Santo Domingo, took on the #Inktober2018 challenge, and inked his way to the end. With 31 illustrations starring his signature character and his twisted imagination, Franz used the official list of prompt words to capture the feel of the month of Halloween.

Artist Statement

"In my illustrations for inktober I present some fat and masculine characters wearing turban and lipstick, I use common poses within the editorial photography of fashion, together with the element or action referring to the word designated for each day.

With this series, I was interested in exploring the limits of masculinity, providing my characters with attitudes and clothing associated with the feminine, the vulnerable or the sinful, with a motive primarily precious and in some cases comical."
