"A glimmer of hope in a barren landscape. Just came back from Grand Bois, Haiti’s first private nature reserve. Part of my mission was to follow up on efforts by @audubonhaiti, @haititrust , and @fundprogressio to rescue a critically endemic magnolia species, an icon for the rest of this very important primary forest and all the biodiversity it holds. Most people have given up on Haiti, but my friends and I have not. Places like Grand Bois offer a glimmer of hope."
