Zoe Saldana in Rosemary's Baby
Dominican actress, Zoe Saldana will star as Rosemary Woodhouse, the lead in NBC’s four-hour miniseries remake of Rosemary’s Baby, an adaptation of the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin.

Saldana follows Mia Farrow, who played the lead role in Roman Polanski’s 1968 feature adaptation, which consistantly ranks as one of the best horror films of all time.

Based on the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin, this new adaptation of "Rosemary's Baby" centers on a young married couple who escapes New York and moves to Paris with hopes of leaving their sad past behind. After a series of unfortunate events, Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse are presented with an offer they can't refuse - an apartment at the most prestigious address in the city. Problem is, it comes with a haunted past and an immeasurable price.

The mini-series will begin on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

“Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses, and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin’s infamous novel,” said NBC’s head of longform Quinn Taylor. “With Zoe leading the cast under the direction of Agnieszka Holland, this reimagined event miniseries is off to a great start.”
