José Rincón Mora (Sánchez Ramírez, 1939-2016)
José Rincón Mora (1939 -2016), was born in the city of Cotuí, capital of the Sánchez Ramírez Province in the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic.
In 1957, he begins to study Architecture at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (F. 1866), immediately followed by studies at the National School of Fine Arts, where he had the opportunity to train under the great Jaime Colson, graduating in 1961. In 1962, Rincón Mora held his first solo exhibition.
His artistic training continues overseas, settling in Munich, Germany, in 1964, where he lives until his death from a heart attack in 2016.
